Individual Volunteer

- Extended program -

Participating at EcoMayto for an extended period of time (from 4 to 8 weeks), allows individuals to learn the ins and outs of environmental protection from a different perspective. Participants will form part of the team of staff/facilitators and learn how to patrol the beach, look for and collect sea turtle nests while also part-taking in any maintenance work, plastic compaction and general protection activities within the camp.

Sea Turtle Protection Activities

Participants of the extended volunteer program will be trained accordingly to carry out these biological protection activities individually, or with another qualified partner. Participating in this program will mean learning the ins and outs of sea turtle protection and conservation, and learning how to participate in all aspects of the protection activities as well as the data collection process.

Camp stay, CEAM and community work
